Since the 1990s and the first Vildhuss project, a dream has started to take shape in Ragunda Valley, to allow cultural projects to flourish and provide meaningful development in the valley with the centre being the revolving platform and stage at Döda Fallet.
– “It has long been a dream of mine to direct summer theatre in Döda Fallet, and after 8 years of hard work it is finally a reality!” says director Karl Seldahl
Sven Wollter who was the driving force behind Vildhussprojektet finally returned, this time as Puck. A Midsummernight’s Dream is a joyous play about the untameable forces of the forest and of love. Set amidst the magificently mystical landscape of Ragunda Valley, four teenagers flee out into the forest to save their love but are set upon by the forest king Oberons love potion which cause chaos and intrigue. In the depth of the forest live Jämtland’s fairy tale characters such as trolls, goblins and elves. The audience is allowed to get carried away both literally and figuratively as they spin around on the rotating platform to the song and dance of the fairytale.
